I've tried rolling back to older drivers such as 260.99. I have tried installing new/beta drivers.
#GENERIC PNP MONITOR DRIVER ASUS INSTALL#
This is right after fresh install of 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate and 280.26 video driver. But as soon as surround was enabled, I went back into "Devices and Printers" right away and the 3rd monitor was then showing "Generic PNP Monitor". With the fresh install of windows I went to Devices and Printers right away to see if all 3 monitors were recognized and sure enough, there were 3 separate monitors showing "ASUS VG236" under the pic of the monitor. I recently had just bought an OCZ Vertex 3 SSD for a new boot drive and was hoping the new fresh windows install would fix the problem. I could go between 2D and 3D no problem and the refresh rate would always work fine and the 3D would look correct in ALL 3 Monitors. When I first got the 3D Surround setup everything worked properly for the first few months. Since it's not recognizing the 3rd monitor correctly, it doesn't know that it can display 120hz refresh rate. I believe that has something to do with the problem. If I go to Devices and Printers, it shows 2 monitors as "ASUS VG236" and the 3rd monitor as "Generic PNP Monitor". So the problem seems to be, one of the monitors is not running in 120hz correctly when in 3D/2D Surround, and it's always the monitor plugged into the second/bottom GTX470 (doesn't matter which monitor is plugged in second card, so I know it's not a particular monitor or DVI Cable). If I DON'T enable the 3D right away after switching the DVI port plug-ins, the 2D surround will usually work in 120hz until I enable the 3D Vision. Then when I disable the 3D vision via NVIDIA Control Panel, and run a game in 2D the surround refresh rate is 60hz. If I switch the right monitor, which is plugged into the second DVI port on the first 470, with the left monitor, which is plugged into the first DVI port on the second 470, then turn on the 3D Vision, it will usually work the first time perfectly. But, whichever monitor is plugged into the second GTX 470 video card, I have really bad ghosting issues and the rendering is just off (the two images appear to be too far a part from each other). When I use 3D surround the refresh rate works at 100hz - 120hz. The 3 ASUS VG236HE monitors are all running in surround.
